Think of it this way Steampunk is more towards the Civil war in america- and the industrial revolution. That stuff. Contrast the Civil war to WWI and WWII. Steampunk is more leather, Diesel punk is Cotton, Cyberpunk is neon-ish.

The Captain! (Zeppelin) (I'm a female too!) My dream now since no real Zeppelins roam the skies is to be the Captain of a Cutter in the Coast Guard. Last year I actually researched everything of Zeppelins. My female cat's name is Zeppelin.

I love this song more then the other song- I see it as a doctor looking at medical things to fix his wife- then turning to more of a science base and watching her slowly die- So he's desperate to save her. Wouldn't you be if you might be able to save them?

I've heard Steampunk is the age of Steam- 1837-1910 (Victorian to Edwardian era) and Diesel Punk is WWI and II era. Vietnam and now are just- current- then 2100 is Cyberpunk. All are very different in fact. Clothing styles are very different.

Metrocon 2009 was Steampunk themed but its not yearly (Sadly) But I heard most conventions of 2009 are Steampunk- At least in southern USA states.
